Sony kicked off their recent State of Play stream with an extensive new look at the upcoming Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, revealing new features, showing plenty of new gameplay, and detailing some more big new additions coming to the anticipated platformer sequel.
On top of showing plenty of new levels that players will be playing through, they also confirmed that Dingodile will be a playable character. Though he begins the game as someone who’s left his old life behind and now peacefully runs a diner, the game begins with his diner being destroyed, throwing him back into the mix again.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will also players to replay each finished level with different perspectives that will change the levels in various ways, such as making it black and white and tasking players with bleeding colour back into it with every jump, or changing the art style to a neon-drenched one.
Meanwhile, new cosmetics and costumes for all the characters were also shown off. The game supposedly has quite a few of them, and Activision promises, as it has before, that these are all earnable in-game, and don’t involve microtransactions.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is out on October 2 for PS4 and Xbox One.
