Metal Gear Solid Delta - Snake Eater - Collector's Edition

Konami has revealed details about the various editions of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater that are available for pre-order. The list of editions is split between two for physical and two for digital. Pre-ordering any of the four editions will get players access to the pre-order bonus – the Uniform: White Tuxedo camouflage.

On the physical side of things, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be available in the Tactical Edition and the Collector’s Edition. You can check out details about the Collector’s Edition from our coverage from back in June 2024 when it was first revealed thanks to an errant Amazon listing.

The Tactical Edition is priced at $69.99, while the Collector’s Edition has a price tag of $199.99. Both editions will also include the Sneaking DLC Pack, which includes six Uniforms – Battle Dress (PW ver.), Sneaking Suit (PW ver.), Crocodile Suit, Naked (Woodland), Naked (Ammunition Belt), and Gold. It will also include two Face accessories – Glasses and Sunglasses – along with the Kerotan Mask and GA-KO Mask as the bonus pieces of equipment.

On the digital side of things, the Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, and will not include any extras aside from the pre-order bonus. The Digital Deluxe Edition, on the other hand, is priced at $79.99, and will include the Sneaking DLC Pack detailed above, as well as 48 hours of early access.

While the physical editions are only available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the digital ones are available on PC as well. Konami also revealed the minimum and recommended specs for running Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PC. At bare minimum, players will need an Intel Core i5 8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super GPU. For more details, check out our coverage here.

The August 28 release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was announced earlier this week with a trailer released during Sony’s recent State of Play event. The trailer was originally leaked earlier this month, however, and also ended up revealing that the upcoming remake would feature a return of the classic Snake vs Monkey mode.

Previous trailers have given us a good look at the upcoming action stealth title, even letting us get a look at some of its fan-favourite characters having been completely re-designed through the lens of the remake’s use of Unreal Engine 5. One video in particular gave us a great look at the differences between a cutscene from the original Metal Gear Solid 3, and the remake’s version.

While Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is largely set to use the same voice work that was originally done for the original PS2 release of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the remake will also feature a few of the voice actors reprising their roles to add new recordings for their characters. This includes David Hayter reprising his role as protagonist Naked Snake, along with Jim Piddock as Major Zero and Lori Alan as The Boss.
