While mechanically, the roster of characters isn’t as important in a racer (especially a kart racer) as it is in, say, a fighter, reveals and inclusions are always something we look forward to nonetheless. Activision has introduced two of the characters that will be in the playable roster of the upcoming remake, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, having taken to Twitter to release two short teaser videos.

The characters introduced are Ripper Roo – a deranged dog who cannot stop laughing – and Polar – an adorable looking polar bear. Both characters were, of course, also in the original Crash Team Racing, so their inclusion here is a surprise by no means- but we do get to see them recreated with modern visuals, beautiful fur and all. Take a look below.

If you want to see more of the game in action to see how it’s looking, it received a gameplay video just a little over a month ago- take a look through hereCrash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is due out on June 21 for the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. When it launches, it will do so with additional tracks and karts over the original release.
