Crash Team Rumble

With Toys for Bob separating from Activision and going private, its support for Crash Team Rumble is ending. The multiplayer arena title will receive its final content update on March 4th, per a recent in-game message spotted by Redditors.

Players can still access the title and earn 104 new items from a 500-tier free Battle Pass, which includes event rewards and Season 1-3 content. Crash Coins will no longer be purchasable; any with existing amounts can use them for tier skips on the Battle Pass.

Crash Team Rumble launched on June 20th, 2023, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5. It received mixed reviews from critics (check out ours here), but Toys for Bob continued adding new characters – Spyro the Dragon is the latest – and maps alongside other new features.

As for the future, Toys for Bob is working on a new title and hopes to partner with Microsoft (Activision’s parent company). Though it’s “early days” for its next project, the team is “excited to develop new stories, new characters, and new gameplay experiences.”
