Expecting another new update for Crimson Desert, as Pearl Abyss has done in previous weeks? Unfortunately, the developer confirmed that it would instead go live later this week, as it takes “our time with testing and polishing things before we roll the patch out.”
The good news is that it’s expected to be a sizable update, adding difficulty settings, inventory category tabs (which should make it much easier to locate items), and improvements to the quality of distant scenery. The latter means this patch is far larger than what we’ve come to know, so keep that in mind.
A keyboard/mouse and controller preset will also be added, providing more freedom to play how one wants. Otherwise, it should be interesting to see what other surprises this update has to offer. After all, the latest added Intel Arc GPU support (already confirmed but still a nice surprise), Axiom Force and Nature’s Snare for Damiane and Oongka, three new combat music tracks, and much more.

Crimson Desert is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and has sold more than five million units worldwide.
