Crimson Desert’s Mounts Detailed in New Gameplay, Including a Late-Game Mech

Laying waste to enemies with a machine gun, missiles, and EMP blasts is contrary to the high fantasy setting, but it's still lots of fun.

Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert has always been noticed for the sheer variety of its activities, even as far back as its gameplay reveal. Its combat garnered more attention due to the sheer amount of options, but that applies to the mounts as well. While you’ll start with horses, that repertoire can grow into bears, raptors, the previously-seen dragon and a mech.

As showcased by IGN First in new gameplay, the Battle Robot (engineered by the Dwarves) is available in the late-game and allows for true devastation. You have a machine gun, missiles (with the ability to lock on to multiple targets), jump jets and even an “EMP blast” to shock closer foes. Game-breaking? Sure, but similar to the dragon, it’s usable for a limited period.

It’s just one of the many things to look forward to when the open-world action RPG launches on March 19th, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Check out some more extensive gameplay here, which includes a boss fight against a Cursed Knight.
