Crytek’s Crysis Remastered may have already made its way to Nintendo Switch in July but the development team spent additional time to polish the visuals for other platforms. It recently unveiled ray-tracing and 8K resolution textures for the current-gen version but that’s not all. PC players can take advantage of an exclusive graphics setting called “Can it Run Crysis?” The meme has truly come full circle.
As revealed on Twitter in a new in-game screenshot, this mode is meant to “demand every last bit of your hardware with unlimited settings.” Other noteworthy graphical features include “state of the art” depth fields, SVOGI for global illumination, motion blur and more. So it should be interesting to see how this new graphics setting pushes the visuals to their limit.
Crysis Remastered is out on September 18th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will sadly not include the standalone expansion Warhead. If the remaster is successful, it could pave the way for other Crysis titles to be enhanced. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks and check out the PC requirements here.
