Publisher Devolver Digital has announced during its Countdown to Marketing event that Cult of the Lamb will be out on August 11 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. There is also a demo available on Steam to try out right now.
Cult of the Lamb revolves around starting your own cult. Players set out in a world full of false prophets to build a community of worshippers of their own. The ultimate aim of the game is to become the one true cult in the world.
Players take on the role of a possessed lamb that is saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger, and then build up their own cult as a way of paying off this debt.
Along with the creation and growth of the cult, Cult of the Lamb also has players embark on quests to discover the secrets of four mysterious religions.
Cult of the Lamb was originally announced last year, alongside Trek to Yomi and Wizard with a Gun.
