Studio MDHR’s Cuphead released in 2017, and stood out pretty well in a year full of big-time releases. While the studio is currently working on an expansion, The Delicious Last Course, it also has some “pretty epic” ideas for its next game. This is according to producer and artist Maja Moldenhauer in a new video from Red Bull.

The video itself serves as a behind-the-scenes look at development and the struggles that Studio MDHR went through. Moldenhauer reveals, “I’m just really loving what we do. And the ideas we have for the next game are pretty epic.” It seems that’s all the details we’re going to get for the time being.

In the meantime, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course will be releasing in 2019. Along with new weapons, bosses, and levels, it will also feature Ms. Chalice as a playable character. The expansion will be available for Xbox One and PC. Whether the studio will work with Microsoft again on its next game remains to be seen. Regardless, with over three million copies sold as of August 2018, Cuphead 2 could be a given at some point.
