2020s Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt RED had a not-so-stellar track record, and is still having trouble living up to the expectations of the player base. While CD Projekt RED’s been busy with patching and improving the game, fans and players are waiting to hear any news of its much-awaited patch 1.5.
Recently, as per a rumored leak via 4Chan, it was assumed that the upcoming patch would help soft relaunch the game under the name Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition. The leak suggested tons of QoL changes, as well as a new location, new missions, and more. Naturally, everyone was excited about it, and a lot of media outlets covered the same.
Unfortunately, the leaks do not seem to hold any weight, as CD Projekt RED’s Global PR Director Radek Grabowski recently went on Twitter, dismissing the claims, as a reply to Forbes’ Paul Tassi’s coverage for the leak, and saying that things in the leak do not add up.
The comment in itself was very vague, not explaining if the whole leak is just baseless rumors or holds some truth in it. For now, all players can unfortunately do is to wait for news from CD Projekt RED regarding the upcoming patch for the game. The only thing which is known is that the team is currently in the process of creating the first expansion, as they recently expanded their team for the same.
This thing does not add up. Sorry, Paul.
