Cyberpunk may not be all that new of a thing for video games to tackle, but none so far seems to have done so near the scale of what CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 is attempting. We’ve seen a pretty decent amount of the game so far, but now CDPR is showing us something a little different with some new artwork that shows off the feel and style of the game.
On the game’s official Twitter, they’ve been posting art that highlights some of the characters and the style they pursue. They highlight four specifically: Entropism, Kitsch, Neomilitarism, and Neokitsch. Each one has their own look and philosophy of how they use cybernetics in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, with some blatantly choosing style over substance. It gives an idea of the tone of the game, going from playful and inviting to sleek and dangerous. Check them out below.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.
The look of poverty that derives from humans grappling with and struggling against technology and its unforgiving advance. It denotes a lack of design blending with a general poverty of means and ideas.#Cyberpunk2077 #NecessityOverStyle pic.twitter.com/nvBNTkpGg2

The look of global conflict and corporations jockeying for power. Cold, sharp and modern. Making everyone look as if they are ready to drop out of an AV’s cargo door and head straight into combat.#Cyberpunk2077 #SubstanceOverStyle pic.twitter.com/liEGuCd0v1

The look of infinite wealth and vanity. Synonymous with luxury, it has been blossoming among Night City’s wealthiest elites – those who can afford to buy anything, who can afford to be anything they want to be.#Cyberpunk2077 #SubstanceAndStyle pic.twitter.com/ZHS1En45qD

The look of a long lost golden age on people entirely unwilling or unable to forget it. It’s flashy, bold and usually cheap – filled with gold-plated cyberware, implants encased in brightly colored plastic and larger-than-life makeup.#Cyberpunk2077 #StyleOverSubstance pic.twitter.com/vzTjbGYdkT
