Cyberpunk 2077 has enjoyed a notable resurgence in recent weeks, triggered by renewed interest in the property following the launch of Netflix anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and it doesn’t seem like interest in CD Projekt RED’s open world action RPG is dying down anytime soon.

Last month, the developer revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 had been played by over a million players every day for a week at the time, and it seems it’s maintained its momentum. Taking to Twitter, the studio recently announced that the game has seen a million active players each day for four weeks in a row. It seems safe to say that the game is maintaining a very healthy and very active player base.

Of course, with its expansion Phantom Liberty set to launch next year, one would imagine its player count will see another major increase at that time. As of the end of September, Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 20 million units worldwide.

CD Projekt recently also confirmed that it will soon begin development on Project Orion, a full-fledged sequel to Cyberpunk 2077which will be developed by a new team established in North America.
