There’s always a lot of surprises at E3. Even in an E3 like this, that’s been one of the leakiest ones that I can remember, they’ve managed several big shocks. But the biggest one wasn’t even a game announcement, it was the fact that Keanu Reeves was going to have a key role in the much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. The reaction was wild, and one person that was amazed was the man himself.

According to Xbox Division Head Phil Spencer while speaking to Variety, the idea of having Reeves there was actually CD Projekt RED’s, and they used codenames and stand-ins in his place during rehearsals to make sure the secret was kept under wraps. Watching the presentation, you could see Reeves was having a good time, and apparently he was blown away by it according to Spencer, who said that when Keanu walked back stage he simply said, “Wow,” in astonishment.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16th, 2020. Check out the various editions of the game and what they come with in the meantime.
