Development for CD Projekt RED’s next big game, Cyberpunk 2077, is moving along quite nicely, it seems. Lately, we’ve been getting increased updates on the game, and now we’ve got one more. The Polish studio has written a post about a job opening for a “Vehicles Artist”- and then posted about that on their official Twitter page as well.
As per the job opening, they’re looking for someone who can design “incredibly complex vehicles”, ranging across everything from planes and bikes to robots and other mechanical stuff, which will then “appear in the dark streets of Night City” in Cyberpunk 2077. As their new Vehicles Artist, the applicant will be tasked with “modeling all kinds of complex futuristic vehicles and robots”, among other things, while one of the several requirements for the job is a “deep understanding of mechanical engineering and design”.
Given what CD Projekt RED did with The Witcher 3, we’re expecting them to put a great deal of effort into detailing their vehicles and robots. We’re curious to see just how well they manage to pull it off.
Recently, CD Projekt RED responded to reports that Cyberpunk 2077 might be following a Games as Service model, and it was beautiful stuff. Check it out here.
