cyberpunk 2077

This year’s E3 was a big one for Cyberpunk 2077. Not only did we finally get an official date for the game’s release, we also got that now iconic reveal of Keanu Reeves being a part of the game. It’s not too shabby of a trailer in and of itself, either, so there’s also that. We get to revisit that today with a new version that showcases the official Japanese dub of the game.

While advances in motion capturing has made digital acting closer to the live action, flesh and blood thing, there’s still a certain art to voice acting, and subtle differences can mean a lot in how a character is portrayed. While no one feels radically different from their English counterpart here, the trailer released by the Japanese publisher of the game, Spike Chunsoft, shows how strong voices and tones can be employed in a different way to slightly altered effect. Check it out below.

Cyberpunk 2077 will launch April 16th 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
