Dark Souls 3_02

After loads of teasing and a premature announcement by Sony’s Twitter account (oops!), we finally have the debut trailer for the very first bit of post launch DLC for From Software’s Dark Souls 3– and as expected, it looks absolutely sublime.

Also as expected, the DLC pack will be called Ashes of Ariandel, and it challenges players to “uncover terrible secret that lies within an unnamed frozen land.” The DLC includes new enemies, weapons, armor, magic, an expansion to the lore and story of Dark Souls 3, and a very special appearance by someone (or something) that players of the first Dark Souls should immediately recognize.

Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One October 25, with a second expansion for the game slated for a release next year. In the meantime, you can watch the trailer for Ashes below, and let us know what you think in the comments section.
