Dark Souls 3 Becomes Fastest Selling Bandai Namco Title in North America

From Software’s Dark Souls 3 isn’t just a success in the UK, surpassing Dark Souls 2 sales by 61 percent, but it’s doing great business in North America as well. According to Bandai Namco Entertainment America, the hack and slash dungeon crawler is the most successful day one launch and fastest selling title ever for the publisher. It even released a new trailer to celebrate the accolades its earned.

Sales numbers have yet to be revealed but we do know that Dark Souls 3 sold more than 500,000 units on PC in three days. One can only imagine how much higher that number is when other consoles are factored in.

Dark Souls 3, like the previous games, has you playing as a nameless undead seeking the end. The story is a bit different this time as you’re hunting the Lords of Cinder but the basic cycle that’s been at play forever and the souls that must be gathered are present and accounted for. That and the difficulty.
