Dark Souls 3 PC Version Sells More Than 500,000 Copies In Three Days

Being the last game in the series might be helping.

Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3 launched on April 12 and it appears From Software has a hit on its hands. According to Steamspy the game sold more than 528,000 copies for Steam by Friday afternoon. If those numbers are indeed to be believed it would mean some serious success for the third game in the trilogy.

It should be stated again those numbers are for the Steam version of the game only. They don’t take PS4 and Xbox One sales into account. Even if the console version is way behind the PC version when it comes to sales, the game is doing brisk business.

There are a couple of factors that might be playing into the hype that has led to such great sales in just a number of days. Chief among those factors is that this is likely going to be the last Dark Souls game in the franchise. We’ll just have to keep an eye on the Dark Souls 3 sales from here on out. The game should get even better when patch 1.03 lands on Monday.
