Dark Souls 3

From Software’s Dark Souls 3 has received a new video, which is actually the opening cinematic for the game. It helps to set up the story and sort of explains what’s going on.

Set in the world of Lothric, the opening cinematic showcases the Aldrich Saint of the Deep, the Undead Legion under Farron and Yhorm the Giant. You’ll also learn about the Old Words among other things. How does this tie into the previous games and the Red Knight, the so-called Dark Hero of the game? We’ll find out in due time it seems.

Dark Souls 3 is pegged to be the last title in the Souls series according to From Software, though we’ll undoubtedly see some new titles from the studio in the coming year. Dark Souls 3 will be out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on April 12th. What are your thoughts on the opening cinematic? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information.
