According to publisher Bandai Namco, From Software’s Dark Souls 3 has managed to ship three million units since its launch. The game was available on March 24th in Japan while North America and Europe received it on April 12th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

These are shipments and not units sold of course but it’s enough to bring total worldwide shipments for the franchise to more than 13 million units. Bandai Namco also revealed that it’s the most popular iteration in the franchise for North America and Europe, shipping 1.5 million and 1 million copies respectively (Japan and Asia only shipped 500,000).

Despite a rocky launch of sorts with PC issues, From Software’s Dark Souls 3 received quite the critical praise for its difficulty, mechanics, range of secrets and overall depth of the world.
