Dead or Alive 5 Refuses to Die, Announced for Xbox One and PS4

Dubbed Last Round, this version will be out in Japan by Spring 2015.

Koei Tecmo simply refuses to move on from Dead or Alive 5, its last major fighting game and the first game in the series to not be directed by series creator Tomonobu Itagaki. Producer Yosuke Hayashi announced at the Japan Gamer’s Live event that Dead or Alive 5 would be releasing for the Xbox One and PS4. Check out the announcement trailer for the same above.

Dead or Alive Last Round features many prior characters such as Ryu Hayabusa and honestly, there are still a ton of details pending. We do expect Tecmo Koei to add some new characters, revamped visuals and a new mode or two. Plus costumes. Because what kind of Dead or Alive game would it be without bonus costumes?

The game will be out in Spring 2015 for Japan with no information yet on a Western release. Would you like to be able to play it on Xbox One and PS4 or simply crave something new? Let us know in the comments.
