Motive Studio’s remake of Dead Space will receive an extended gameplay walkthrough tomorrow at 8 AM PT. Celebrating the first game’s 14th anniversary, creative director Roman Campos-Oriola and senior producer Philippe Ducharme will present an “extensive look” at the title.

The first gameplay trailer for the survival horror shooter debuted recently, offering a look at the vastly improved visuals. New features include the Peeling System with a Necromorph’s limbs realistically breaking and depicting damage received. The Intensity Director will dynamically change enemy spawns and attack methods along with particle effects, smoke and lighting as the player progresses.

While protagonist Isaac Clarke didn’t have much dialogue in the original (beyond screams of agonizing pain), the remake sees Gunner Wright returning to supply some “new narrative enrichments.” With no loading screens and the entire game playing as “one sequential shot” without any cuts, it’s looking to be an even more impressively terrifying experience.

Hopefully, the extended walkthrough will showcase the new controls for the map UI along with the new rooms, routes and obstacles. Dead Space launches on January 27th, 2023, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Head here for more details on the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions.
