We recently got our first good look at gameplay from the upcoming Dead Space remake, and calling it a gorgeous game would be a massive understatement. Motive Studio’s survival horror title is looking like a visual treat- so it’s no surprise (especially considering that this isn’t a cross-gen game) that its system requirements on PC are quite hefty, even if you’re targeting the minimum settings (via the game’s Steam page).
On minimum settings, you’ll need either a Ryzen 5 2600X or an i5 8600, along with either an RX 5700 or a GTX 1070, and 16 GB of RAM. Meanwhile, on recommended settings, you’ll need either a Ryzen 5 5600X or an i5 11600K, along with either a Radeon RX 6700 XT or a GeForce RTX 2070, and, once again, 16 GB of RAM. On either setting, you’ll also need DirectX 12 and about 50 GB of storage space. You can check out the full minimum and recommended system requirements below.
In addition to its debut gameplay trailer, plenty of new details have also emerged on Dead Space of late. The entire game is going to be a single sequential shot without any cuts, a la God of War (2018), and will feature several new narrative-driven side quests. Developer Motive Studio has also spoken about the game’s new Peeling System, its Intensity Director, and more. As per reports, more details and gameplay footage are set to arrive later this month, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Dead Space launches on January 27, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It costs $70 on consoles (and $60 on PC).
