In case you haven’t heard, Motive Studio’s Dead Space remake is pretty good. It debuted strongly in Steam’s Global Weekly Top Sellers chart for the week ending January 29th and topped UK physical charts on its debut. There have been some issues, though, particularly with the Variable Rate Shading, which caused image quality to suffer.

Motive has released a patch for the same on PlayStation 5, Steam and Origin/EA App. Xbox Series X/S users should see the update arriving later this week. The developer is also aware of “other issues” that have cropped up over the past few days and is currently investigating. Updates and potential workarounds will be provided when available, so stay tuned.

For more details on Dead Space and why it’s so good, check out our review here. Producer Phil Ducharme revealed that Motive is interested in exploring the series more, though it’s undecided on what comes next. A potential Dead Space 2 remake could happen – the current game’s New Game Plus mode contains logs that reference the sequel, but nothing is confirmed.
