It’s not often that we get to see a major new game release from Valve, but it looks like that’ll be changing in the not-too-distant future. Recent leaks have seemingly spilled the beans on Deadlock, a new 6v6 hero shooter MOBA that has allegedly been in development at Valve since 2018, having taken many different forms and titles over the years, including Neon Prime, Citadel, and more.
More details on the game have continued to filter through in leaks since those initial details have emerged. For instance, what seems to be very early development footage showing a number of playable characters from the game seems to have been shared on Twitter by user @zvis_ceral. A total of 12 characters are shown with varying designs, from Slork, who wears a t-rex skull on his head, to the boomerang-wielding humanoid tiger Kali, to the warlock-like Spectre.
The leak notes that the footage showcased is work-in-progress footage from early stages of the game’s development, which means some of the names or even entire characters it shows might not make it into the final game- so keep that in mind.
