Some new information for Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise, the action adventure sequel from Toybox and writer/director Hidetaka Suehiro, has been revealed. Thanks to the Nintendo.co.uk page being updated, more details on the story have been revealed. The sequel features two protagonists – FBI agent Aaliyah Davis in 2019 and FBI recruit Francis York Morgan in 2005 – and the player alternates between their perspectives.

Davis and her partner Simon Jones are investigating a case that was considered closed. The “red tree” might have something to do with it, which is never a good sign for those who played the first game. Meanwhile, Morgan visits Le Carre in Louisiana and teams up with the sheriff’s daughter to investigate some strange murders. A “darkness” seems to be swelling underneath the town and Morgan needs to find out what’s what.

It wouldn’t be a Deadly Premonition game without some side activities though they seem focused on Morgan. You can go bowling, skip stones on water, ride down the river and shoot alligators, or skateboard around town (which is also useful for traversal). Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise releases on July 10th for Nintendo Switch.
