It’s almost hard to believe that Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding is almost here. The game was announced years ago and has since been the center of tons of marketing, crazy trailers and a high profile review embargo. And it’s already being updated, as a new patch is available ahead of the game’s launch in 4 days.

This actually isn’t the first update for the game, believe it or not. This update will bring the game to version 1.03. The first update came for reviewers who got the game for an early period, (you can read our review through here. This update will weigh in at about 1 GB and adjusts some game balance, translation quality and multiple undefined problems. You will also have to be careful, as saved data from 1.03 cannot be used in previous update versions, so you will need the patch to go forward.

Death Stranding will be available for PlayStation 4 on November 8th. The 1.03 update will be there when the game is live for the public. The game will also release later in 2020 for the PC.

PATCH NOTES:

  • Multiple problems fixed
  • Game balance adjustments
  • Translation quality improvements
  • Updated save data version
