Death Stranding Is “Weird and Big”, Says Voice Actor Troy Baker

Which doesn’t actually tell us anything new about the game.

Death Stranding

Death Stranding is Hideo Kojima’s next big magnum opus. It was announced back in 2016, and so far, we know exactly nothing about it. Well, that’s a lie, we do know all sorts of film stars and directors who will be starring in the game. We also know that death is a major theme in the game, and that it has some kind of Lovecraftian Eldritch horror going on.

But as for how the game plays, or what it is, or literally anything about it other than some bizarre concept trailers, nope, we know nothing. And sadly, while voice actor Troy Baker, who will be featuring in the game, recently shared some more about the game, that won’t actually change us not knowing anything about the gameplay or mechanics.

“It’s a huge game. The scope of the game is huge. If you know anything about Kojima, he doesn’t do small. It’s weird, and it’s big,” Baker said in response to a fan question, speaking at the Argentina Game Show (you can check out the video below, uploaded by YouTube user RevistaToma5).

”Huge and weird” sounds like Kojima alright. It is also right in line with everything of the game we have been shown so far. So while it doesn’t tell us anything new, at least it tells us… well, nothing much, really.

Hopefully we can actually see a proper gameplay demo or something of the sort for the game some time soon. If you want to see Troy Baker’s debut teaser for Death Stranding, make sure to check it out here.
