Death Stranding: Kojima Productions Clarifies That Shinkawa Is Still Working For Them

Fans of his distinct art do not need to worry.

One of the big surprises at TGS this year was Left Alive, a brand new survival game by Square Enix for the PS4 and PC. More surprising than the game (which looks great, incidentally) was the sheer talent that was behind it- which included long time Metal Gear artist Yoji Shinkawa, who was also supposed to be working with Hideo Kojima on his upcoming Death Stranding.

Had that changed? Was he no longer working with Kojima Productions? Speaking on Twitter, Kojima Productions clarified that Shinkawa still is working with them- which means that we can expect his distinctive art for Death Stranding, too. His work for Left Alive, then, has little to do with his gig at Kojima’s studio. Fans do not need to be worried- in fact, now they get to enjoy his art for two major upcoming games.

Death Stranding is due out on the PS4 and PC (with the PS4 release coming first). As of right now, we don’t have a release date.
