Death Stranding: Neill Blomkamp‏ Denies Working With Hideo Kojima

Nothing vague about this one.

Following the Hideo Kojima panel at this year’s E3 Coliseum, there were reports online, including by ourselves, that suggested that maybe the Japanese game designer and South African filmmaker Neill Blomkamp were working together on a project. However, Blomkamp has now confirmed in no unclear terms that he is not, after all, working with Kojima.

Kojima and Blomkamp do known each other, and Kojima’s given out even more obscure hints than what we spoke about in our report above in the past before. And when you consider that Death Stranding deals with themes such as connections all of this may possibly make sense. However, Blomkamp recently answered a question posed to him on Twitter and confirmed that he is not working with Kojima in “any way, shape or form.”

So yeah, that’s that. Seems pretty conclusive. There’s no denying that the two of them would actually work together pretty well, since their styles seem to complement each other, but as of right now, it’s been made pretty clear that that isn’t happening.
