Death Stranding Release Date Has Already Been Decided, It Won’t Be A PS5 Game- Hideo Kojima

It might not be as far out as you would think.

A lot of people are worried that, given Hideo Kojima’s propensity for long development cycles, Death Stranding will end up taking a long time before it is released. Some, in fact, unironically think that by the time it is ready, it may be time to move on from the PS4 and on to the PS5.

However, according to DualShockers, who talked to Kojima at RTX Sydney, Death Stranding is definitely planned to be a game for this generation- in fact, Kojima says that the release date for the game has already been decided. That doesn’t necessarily mean much, since even targeted release dates can be missed (and Kojima himself has been known to do that in the past), but at least the intent right now is to get the game out reasonably soon.

When that will be, no one knows. I still think it might be a late 2018/early 2019 title, myself.
