Death Stranding’s Upcoming Famitsu Cover Features Art From Legendary Yoji Shinkawa

Two old friends meet again.

There’s a lot to take in from the upcoming Death Stranding. I mean… a lot. But one thing that will always hover over the game, for better or worse, is that its creator will always be a huge part of discussion surrounding it. His departure from Konami in dramatic fashion gave birth to the game in many ways. But some of those ghosts seem to be returning, but in the best possible way as an old collaborator found himself coming to the game in an indirect way.

In the upcoming issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Death Stranding will feature on the cover. Legendary artist Yōji Shinkawa did the artwork, which you can see below. If you aren’t aware, Shinkawa worked with Kojima through his Konami years, doing a lot of concept art, covers and designs for the Metal Gear Solid series. It’s a blast of the best kind of nostalgia.

Death Stranding will launch on PlayStation 4 November 8th. You can check out our review of the game through here.
