Deep Down (2)

Amidst all the announcements for online titles, including Dragon’s Dogma Online releasing exclusively in Japan, many wonder what’s happened to Capcom’s Deep Down. News has seemingly dried up for a time until director Yoshinori Ono revealed to Famitsu (translation by Kotaku) why it was taking so long.

“We are currently working diligently on Deep Down, so please give us a little more time. We may be able to show you some big developments this year.”

Producer Kazunori Sugiura further revealed Capcom’s game plan for the PS4 exclusive. “[Deep Down] is a title that has to be able to compete for the next 15 years or so, so from a graphics standpoint we can’t release it as it is now, saying that it’s the best there is.”

What are your thoughts? Is the delay worth it and will we ever see Deep Down any time in the next year? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more details.
