Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and its partner in development, Capcom, released some brand new information screenshots from their mysterious upcoming Sony exclusive title, Deep Down.

First off we are given another (but much cooler) look at The Jackie, an enemy which seems to be modeled after the classic RPG dungeon prankster enemy, The Mimic. The Jackie takes on the likeness of a treasure chest only to lull the adventurer in and then attack when least expected.

Next up we’ve got the Pooriiz, which a sort of worm or catepillar-like monster that follows you around creepily on the ceiling before dropping down on you to attack with the element of surprise. Apparent’y the Pooriiz tend to travel in large packs, and will drop on you one at a time. If you aren’t vigilant in destroying them one by one, you will likely get swarmed and overwhelmed, preemptively ending your dungeon crawl.

Again, it’s not much, but as each little detail for Deep Down gets released it certainly looks more and more promising.
