Killing Floor 2

Tripwire Interactive’s Killing Floor 2 will be published by Deep Silver on the PlayStation 4 at retail, the publisher announced today. The new game, which is still slated for a release some time later this year, ups the carnage, gore, and intensity of the original game with smarter AI, better combat, and six player co-op play.

The story of Killing Floor 2 places the player in continental Europe, about one month after the original KILLING FLOOR trials. Horzine’s experiment can now no longer be contained, and has broken out and paralyzed all of the European Union- so for a change, we are getting a zombie outbreak story not set in America.

Killing Floor 2 is also due out on PC, but it looks like Tripwire will be handling that version themselves. They have also assured fans of the original game that the sequel will not be compromised from also being on a console- so if you are a Killing Floor purist, don’t worry.
