After Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon introduced us to Rex “Power” Colt, it’s now the turn Deep Silver and Rubicon Organization as they announce Narco Terror, which introduced Rick Quinn in a twin-stick shooter that takes its references from 80’s action movies and its gameplay from classic arcade titles.
The game follows Quinn as he has to rescue his daughter from cartel leader Delgado to prevent the exposure of a new tool that could destroy his smuggling ring. But with customizable weapons, aircraft and vehicles like tanks, it’s safe to say Quinn is prepared for a one-man war.
Narco Terror will mix top down shooting sequences with 3D side-scrolling and even allows two players to participate via local and online co-op. Best of all, somewhat like classic arcade titles, players can drop in and out seamlessly.
Narco Terror is scheduled this summer for Xbox Live and PSN for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively, with a Steam release also on the cards.
