Bungie’s reveal stream for Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris was quite interesting as it gave us a look of Mercury, the Infinite Forest which we’ll be traipsing across through different time periods and the new story. We also got our first sneak peek at the “raid lair” which is the new raid content that’s coming with the expansion.
To make things clear, no, this isn’t a full-fledged new raid. Instead, this raid lair – dubbed “Eater of Worlds” – is part of the Leviathan Raid but as a completely separate component. It has a different boss, new encounters and puzzles and its own rewards to earn.
It’s shorter than the raid that ends with Calus and takes us into the inner depths of the planet-eating machine. And yes, it will have a Prestige Mode. At 300 Power level, rewards will drop at higher Power levels for players so that’s worth getting into.
The basic idea behind the raid lair is to allow Bungie to release more raid content but on a regular basis. Another raid lair will be coming with the second DLC in Spring 2018. As for Curse of Osiris, it releases on December 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
