Bungie’s Destiny 2 had a brief but significant appearance at Paris Games Week during Sony’s Media Showcase. We got our first look at the Curse of Osiris expansion coming to the shared world shooter. A release date of December 5th was also provided. Check out the first trailer below.

Curse of Osiris sees players travelling to Mercury where an “ancient gate” has opened and where the Vex are presumably causing mischief. Osiris, the banished Warlock, is apparently the only one capable of doing something to halt it. Lame story-telling aside, it appears like a new zone will be available to explore and players can expect the usual new weapons, gear, activities and whatnot.

Destiny 2 will also likely begin its second season in December with The Dawning event returning and bringing the ability to fight with snowballs (seriously). There will be new cosmetics in the Eververse store along with some new additions to the end-game.
