Destiny 2 Double XP Weekend (For Clans) Announced For November 17th

Want to earn double XP as a solo player? This isn't the double XP weekend for you.

Destiny 2

There’s no weekend like a double XP weekend, even if it’s in a game like Bungie’s Destiny 2. The developer has announced that players can earn double XP for everything they do on November 17th, 10 AM PST to November 20th. No mention was made of less XP being given to players than what’s actually being shown because why would there be?

The other problem is that this double XP weekend only applies to players who have a fellow clan member in their fireteam. What if you don’t have a fellow clan member or a clan? Well, as Bungie notes, “This would be a perfect time to join one.” Don’t worry though because future double XP events will allow you to play solo. Just not this one.

Destiny 2 is making a bunch of changes over the next few months including the introduction of a new weekly reset time when Curse of Osiris launches on December 5th. The expansion will introduce a new zone, new missions, a new storyline and the same boring enemies with the Vex (though a “raid-like activity” has also been promised).
