Destiny 2 Faction Rally Token Throttling Under Scrutiny, Iron Banner Details Coming – Bungie

Bungie will look at its recent "fix" to Token farming and find a different solution for players.

Destiny 2 Faction Rally

Destiny 2 fans are in an uproar yet again. With the latest Faction Rally, Bungie not only introduced mechanisms to prevent players from earning too many Tokens too quickly (which also seeped into Public Events) but also failed to communicate how loot was being distributed. Essentially, there’s only one new weapon available in this week’s Faction Rally – subsequent weapons will arrive later. Unless you really wanted Faction armour, then investing Tokens for new weapons is a waste.

Bungie recognized the negative feedback from players and community manager Cozmo addressed this in the weekly update. Suffice to say, there could be changes when the next Faction Rally week rolls around.

“We have heard player feedback that this solution was too disruptive. We’re looking at a change that won’t make players feel forced to run to and from a single chest for hours while also not placing a hard stop on enjoying Lost Sectors. We want to ensure that every time you open a chest there is loot inside. We’ll share more details on this before the next Faction Rallies.”

Cozmo also said that the developer would be addressing its lack of communication next week when Iron Banner Season 2 begins and Faction Rally ends. Chances are we’ll be seeing the same format here but maybe there will be some long-awaited fixes for that as well.
