Destiny 2 Hotfix Re-Enables Faction Rally, Iron Banner For Non-DLC Owners

You won't need Curse of Osiris to access these time-limited events.

Destiny 2 Faction Rally

Server maintenance has wrapped for Bungie’s Destiny 2 and players can login once more. The newest hotfix for the game is also live and brings a much requested change for non-DLC owners. If you didn’t purchase Curse of Osiris, then you were locked out of a number of activities like Faction Rallies and Iron Banner.

In light of controversy about this, Bungie issued hotfixes to re-enable Trials of the Nine, the Nightfall and Prestige Leviathan raid for non-DLC owners. Faction Rally and Iron Banner were delayed to make time for the latest hotfix which makes these available to non-DLC owners in the future. Expect to hear more information about the next date for Faction Rally and Iron Banner in the coming days.

Of course, Destiny 2 fans are waiting for more information on improvements to the end-game, fixes for items like Three of Coins and Fated Engrams, and the de-emphasis on Eververse, the game’s cash shop. We’ll see how that goes in the developer’s next weekly update so stay tuned.
