Destiny 2 Inverted Spire Strike Gameplay Revealed

Looks a lot like Destiny.

Bungie promised that attendees for the Destiny 2 premiere would be able to try out one of the new Strikes. Thanks to GameSpot, we get to see what makes “The Inverted Spire” tick. Check it out below.

Taking place on Nessus, a new planet, The Inverted Spire sees Guardians fighting against the Vex and the Cabal. At one point, the Cabal are drilling their way underground and it’s up to the Guardians to get there first. While avoiding the giant winding drill blades, of course.

The boss at the end is a Vex Major, similar to Gatekeepers of yore, with the fight broken up into three stages. Overall, it’s not a bad look at the gunplay, new abilities and classes, especially the new roaming version of the Fist of Havoc.

Destiny 2 is out on September 8th for Xbox One and PS4 (the PC version arrives later) with an open beta scheduled for the Summer.
