Destiny 2 – Iron Banner Returns on January 15th With Valor Bonus

Another week to earn seasonal Iron Banner gear and weapons starts tomorrow.

Destiny 2 Iron Banner

Though matchmaking changes for Competitive are going live tomorrow in Bungie’s Destiny 2, some players may still be wary of the playlist. That’s fine, because the Iron Banner returns tomorrow as well. Which means going up against some overpowered Guardians (if you’re relatively new), thanks to Power level advantages being enabled.

Jokes aside, Lord Saladin will grace the Tower with his presence once again. Any armour and weapons – including the Iron Banner sniper rifle and SMG – from this season will be available to earn. To further entice PvP players, there will be a Valor bonus as well, which should further help when unlocking powerful rewards.

Iron Banner is a week-long event, so you have until January 22nd to get in on the action. The season won’t be ending until March – which is around the time that the Joker’s Wild DLC launches – so there should be a few more opportunities to earn Iron Banner gear. Bungie will also deploy a sandbox update on January 29th to bump up several classes and nerf others. Learn more about that here.
