Bungie revealed the launch trailer for Destiny 2: Lightfall at Sony’s State of Play, showcasing the arrival of The Witness and the Black Fleet. In Earth’s orbit, The Witness dishes out damage against the Traveler and seemingly destroys the player’s Ghost in the blink of an eye. Check it out below.
Releasing on February 28th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC, the expansion introduces Neomuna on Neptune, where the Cloudstriders reside. Harnessing the power of Strand, the player stands against Calus and the Shadow Legion to ultimately defeat The Witness. Along the way, they’ll discover new weapons and gear, and craft new builds, which can be switched quickly using the new Loadouts system.
Alongside Lightfall, Season of Defiance launches, introducing a new seasonal activity and Season Pass for players to grind through. Its content has yet to be revealed, but players will help fight the ground war against The Witness on Earth with characters like Devrim Kay. Stay tuned for more details en route to release.
