Destiny 2 Lightfall

Bungie has released a new trailer for Destiny 2: Lightfall, displaying some weapons and gear players can earn in the expansion. First, the Quicksilver Storm Exotic assault rifle provided early on pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition, gets a Catalyst that causes grenades to spawn Strand Tangles on kills.

Warlocks also get Exotic boots called Swarmers which spawn Threadlings to seek out foes on destroying Tangles. It synergizes well with Quicksilver Storm and Strand subclasses, but that’s not all. Titans get the Aberrant Leap boots to spawn additional Lashes with Barricade, entangling enemies, while Hunters receive Cyrtarachne’s Facade, a helm that grants Woven Mail after grappling.

The mail reduces sniper flinch, making it potent in PvP (hopefully). Those sticking to the Void subclass will enjoy Deterministic Chaos. The machine gun weakens enemies on the fourth shot and makes them Volatile on the 16th shot, creating Void explosions on kill. Winterbite, a Stasis Glaive, is also interesting since it launches a Frost Orb that freezes enemies.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is out on February 28th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Its launch coincides with Season 20, though more details have yet to be revealed on its theme and activity.
