Destiny 2 New Video Discusses The Making Of Its Story

Having a story would be an improvement...

Destiny was not known for its story and especially not for its storytelling. While the concept art for the game teased an epic backstory and a symphonic narrative, what we got in the game was minimal context, and backstory that was pushed to Grimoire Cards that didn’t even exist in the game- meaning for most players, the game basically had no plot whatsoever.

This is one thing that Bungie is addressing with the upcoming Destiny 2, and one thing that they have been pushing greatly. And now, a brand new video on the game released in association with IGN, which you can see for yourself below, walks us through the making of the story for this game.

We can only hope that it actually comes out, not even well, that it actually comes out this time- you can’t even criticize Destiny‘s story, because there isn’t any. Having even a bad story in Destiny 2 would be improvement, I suppose. Destiny 2 will launch this September for PS4 and Xbox One, and then a little later for PC.
