In the midst of players being disappointed with the Leviathan raid’s Prestige mode, the pre-load option is now live for Bungie’s Destiny 2 on PC. The download size is 36 GB and the game must be pre-loaded through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher so make sure you have that installed beforehand.
Destiny 2 on PC adds quite a number of different features including an uncapped framerate, support for 4K resolution, higher quality textures, 21:9 widescreen support, the ability to rebind keys freely and much more. It will also benefit from the updates that Bungie have released for the game, though issues like Leviathan raid keys disappearing and Cayde’s stashes appearing empty have yet to be addressed.
Releasing at 10 AM PST on October 24th, Destiny 2 will mark the first Bungie game to arrive on PC since Halo 2 in 2007. The PC version was delayed by more than a month from its console release to allow Vicarious Visions to polish it enough. Sadly, despite being on Battle.net, Destiny 2 will not have dedicated servers on PC.
