Destiny 2 Player Accounts Rolled Back Following Loss of Materials, Silver

Any missing Silver, Bright Dust, and other materials should be restored.

Destiny 2 - Devil's Ruin

When Bungie deployed its latest update for Destiny 2, several players began reporting loss of materials and currencies. This ranged from Glimmer and Legendary Shards to Bright Dust and premium currency like Silver. After bringing servers offline, Bungie has announced that all player accounts have been rolled back to 8:30 AM PST, January 28th.

The issue in question has been identified and any lost materials should be restored. However, any progress that players made in quests or other activities from 8:30 AM to 10 AM PST will be lost. Any Silver spent during that time has also been refunded. In the case of Silver purchased from a specific platform’s store, that’s been returned to the player’s account.

What about the issue that caused “The Pidgeon and the Phoenix” lore, earned by running through the Corridors of Time, to go missing? While the Corridors of Time won’t be returning, Bungie has identified this as a “separate issue” that will be fixed in a future update. If nothing else, the whole ordeal surely qualified as a “You had to be there” moment for Destiny 2 (even if unintentionally).
