Destiny 2 Server Maintenance Extended By Two Hours

Bungie reports that maintenance will wrap up by 2 PM PST.

Destiny 2 (10)

Though Bungie expected server maintenance to wrap up by 12 PM PST for Destiny 2, it now seems to be going longer than initially planned. Bungie Help on Twitter noted that maintenance was extended to 2 PM PST, another two hours, with more updates to come. That doesn’t mean much else other than Bungie taking more time for maintenance.

Though the Faction Rally is set to debut on September 26th, it seems that faction weapons are already dropping in the open world. Players have reported receiving the Future War Cult auto rifle “The Number” (and having somewhat decent success with it in PvP).

Each faction will offer gear and weapons with each rank-up package, regardless of who you choose. However, only the faction with the most number of rank-up packages earned at the end of the event will dole out its featured weapon at a discount to supporters. Non-supporters get it at 50,000 Glimmer.

What are your thoughts on maintenance being extended though? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
