Bungie’s Destiny 2 will see its servers go down for maintenance later today, February 13th. The expected time frame for maintenance is 8 AM PST to 12 PM PST. Players will be prevented from signing into Destiny 2 and if you’re already logged in, you’ll be booted back to the starting screen at 9 AM PST.
The server maintenance is in order to deploy Crimson Days, the newest limited-time event which sees the return of Crimson Doubles, a custom Crucible playlist. Players are encouraged to stay next to each other for some buff and they’ll battle it out on Burnout, a remake of Destiny 1’s Burning Shrine map. The main difference is that there’s no Sun to perpetually blind you everytime you walk outside.
Along with a new map and mode, Crimson Days will also have big changes for its event engrams. Crimson Engrams will now be offered on leveling up and you can only obtain them from playing the game. Crimson Days items are available in the Eververse shop for purchase with Bright Dust, however. Stay tuned for other changes that are likely coming and let us know what you think in the comments below.
Destiny 2 will be brought offline tomorrow (02/13) for server maintenance. Expected time frame is 8 AM PST to 12 PM PST. For more info, see: https://t.co/Ocy0lEVMfq
